Does anyone know of a place where I can buy used plastic other then ebay? I want to do some testing with different styles of vented front numberplates, but I don't want to buy new ones and cut them all up. I figured if I could get a couple used ones and cut them up then I could see what works the best to keeping my bike cool. I've been looking on ebay for a while and I can't find front numberplates for 06-07 yamahas. I can find used fenders, but numberplates rarely seem to come up in auctions. Anyone else have any ideas?

If you go to local MX shops I'm sure they'll throw some old plastics out on used bikes in stock there spending money on putting new plastics, graphics etc on to make look nice for the showroom, cause they can't be bothered to sell the old plastics on ebay. That's what my local KTM dealer does anyway.

Maybe just ask in the yamaha thread. A lot of times guys will have one lying around, but never think to sell it. I just gave one to a buddy a few weeks ago, otherwise you could have it.

go to your local bike scrap yard. mine has a whold section of used plastics and look around especially if you're cutting. them up then when you find a design you want order a new one and cut it out
