Hey Guys

I am looking for the most secinic MX track within 2 hr of the Portland area for a photo shoot.
Other than Washugal, what do you guys think? I have heard there is a nice track on the way to the coast off HY 30.
Any and all info (websights and Phone#) would be great.
Small private tracks would be OK as long as they have Semi Truck access and track prep machinery.
Thanks.
Dave

The nicest I am familier with, is Mt. View Mx Park. Very nice area, very well prepped and super nice family. www.mtnviewmx.com

Hmmmmm. Within a 2 hr. drive of Portland? And they are required to be "secinic"??? Would a "scenic" one be acceptable??? (sorry, couldn't resist that...)

This is an interesting question. Within 2 hrs. of Portland, huh? I guess it's gonna depend on how fast a guy drives, in some cases....

There are tracks at Abany, Goldendale, WA, Madras, Longview, Riverdale, Sandy, Washougal, WA, Woodland, WA, Prineville, & PIR that I know of. I'm not sure how many of them fall within that 2 hour drive requirement. There may be more tracks closer that I'm missing, but I'm not sure how many of them are scenic.

For "Scenic" tracks, I'm thinkin' I have to go to the track I first went to in 1979 in Boise, Idaho. The track that the Owyhee Motorcycle Club had off of Bogus Basin road back then (haven't gotten to return for about 20+ yrs., so I'm not sure if it's still open or not...) used to be an awesome track. I swear, from the top of that hill they had there, a person could see the Rocky Mountains.... And eastern Oregon.... I believe that downhill went somewhere around 450 feet, if I recall correctly...

Anyway, good luck findin' what you're lookin' for. Shouldn't be too hard around here... Are you lookin' for good photographic opportunities, or good ridin'?

Burnt ridge probably like 2 hrs from there. It's in a area similar to washougal with lots of trees all around...

Good call, joshb!!!

I forgot all about that one. Burnt Ridge is a great track, & in a nice locale.

Mtn. View is nice, for sale or not, but I've been to a practice day where it wasn't prepped very well at all, for whatever reason. And you're right; it has been for sale for awhile, & the members of the family that currently owns it are really nice folks.

I have been to and raced at all the others mentioned so far, but thats the first I have seen Burnt ridge.
Any info on private tracks?
Also, anyone been to the track in Euguine? I have heard it is pretty nice.
