OK I just got a YZ426f, bout 13 hours on it...One thing though, is, I am not a racer, I am gonna ride through the woods, the mountains and up and down hills, JUMP ALOT! and enjoy this bike as I do all my others.

Having said that I never had a bike without a Kickstand before.

Is putting one on gonna be the end of my manly days? or is it just cooler to lean it against a tree or rock?

don't be kind, tell me what you really think!

If you jump with a kickstand you're a dumbass, not a sissy. If it does ever come down on you, it won't be worth the pain it can cause.

(that direct enough???) ?

I seriously doubt a Pro Moto Billet kickstand would ever come down on you. Those things really tuck up nice underneath your side plastic and have one helluva spring to keep it there. You could always get a rubber loop holder if you are really concerned about it falling down on you.

I strictly ride singletrack and trail in the desert...Lots of cactus and small trees...a kickstand is a must...after 20 + miles of trail ,its good to get off the bike and rest a moment..Looking for stuff to lean your bike agaist sux.

I have never in my life seen a kickstand cause a problem with jumping. Ever. I go back to the days when MX bikes came with kickstands and we jumped the crap out of them with never a problem.

took 2 seconds to google this:

...My kickstand spring broke and I did not have anything with me to tie it up...

Not common, but it happens.

BTW, I'm all about convenience, but since I jump, the kickstand is the first thing to go. (and yeah, it sucks to hold your bike up while your buddies are resting on their butts) ?

the pro moto "kick it" kick stand is a must, it dosent even feel like it weighs a pound, u never even know its there, and there is no way in hell its going to come down while riding, imho ther is no down side to it, and anyone who says kick stands are gay is retarded, so honestly how much is a 1/2lb kickstand going to affect ur riding? if u want to save that much weight then take a pee before u ride or something.

I am almost 100% trail rider, I threw my kickstand in the trash. Its a dirt bike, I shut off my fuel and lay the bike down if there is nothing to lean against.

personaly my bike has cost me £3000GBP thats over 6000 us dollars. i'm not just going to throw it down. it may be a dirt bike but its also my pride and joy.
