I spent mine in the Parking lot of Hemingway all weekend for some R&B, Thats riding and beer. I am back on a quad so I have been practicing up again with it. Did some jumps from the top down to the bottom on the parking lot hills. I do miss the bike but the quad is still lots of fun for me. And for all those quad haters, There was just as many dirt bikers without helmets as quads. Pretty dusty out there but the wind sunday kept the trails clear. There were around 5-8 campers stay saturday night but most cleared out by sunday, Only us and a lone Thor were left in the parking lot. What did all the other Idaho riders do for the weekend?

Were you out there today on a white quad? Had the family out there for a family ride.

Yep, That would be me. I have a Big white toy hauler with a f350 ford. We were parked just off the entrance

I'm still broken so I took the wife and the Jeep to the top of War Eagle Mountain for some low-key 4-wheeling and some sledding. We ended up in Silver City for lunch. I've never seen so many people there. We had to park outside of town and walk in.

Ah, yep. I was driving a dark silver Toyota Sequoia with a ghetto fab HF trailer. We were parked just south of the bathrooms towards the old entrance. We spent part of a break watching you jump down that hill. Now that I have to haul 4 bikes around I really need to get a bigger trailer ;)

I spent 85% of the weekend working around the house (sod/plumbing/painting/etc). Wasn't very fun but was definitely needed.
My kids, especially the 5 yo, really wanted to ride so we rode the undeveloped area behind our house a few times. Man, kids can have fun ANYWHERE if they're on a bike!

I rode all three days...actually got to spend a few hours riding with hubby on Saturday while friends watched the kids...
Rode the trails around here, mostly. Had to wait on Monday while the rain cleared up.

Rode on Sunday... Put 78 miles on and ran out of gas...Chilco Moutain is snowed in so we had to back peddle to get to the rigs.. Borrowed some gas from a fiendly camper on the Horse Haven Air strip (that place was packed).. All in all it was great. Didn't run into anyone out riding (think everyone was drunk and riding their quads).... That was a good thing as I was leading and pulling a fairly quick pace....head ons suck, particularly when the other person is clipping along also.

Is Chilco Mountain another term for The Bunco? (take 95 to Bunco Road, go up, unload at staging area, ride) If you're talking about the airstrip I think you're talking about (several miles back on a dirt NFS road), that place is psycho in the summer even on a weekday...people flying all over the place, quads ripping it up...even getting up the main road is an adventure every time you go around a turn!

That is one way to get in to chilco...If you were on your way up to Independence Trail, at one of the road intersections there is a trail that takes off kind of to the right and heads up and over south chilco and chilco mountain then dumps out just above Hells Canyon Trail head. As for the air strip, there is a connector between the Chilco trail and the airstrip, it's the old 209 forest service road that washed out a few years back that has been abandonded. If I had to guess the distance between the trail head for Chilco and the airstrip I would put it around the 5-7 mile range.
Ya, the Airstrip is nuts sometimes, but this weekend, there were people actually camping on the strip not just in the sites next to it.

I spent last weekend past Lowman (Bull Trout Lake). Very good ride, nice trails and very technical. Did lots of snowmobiking too at higher elevations. Recommend that area to anyone.

I rode Hemingway for a while on Sunday. Took the whole family. I added a couple of bikes to the collection a while back so this was the first trip (non-camping) to just ride. Wife likes her new bike, Daughter is happy with the TTR90, but I am un-happy with the PW50. That bike is going and I'm gonna replace it with a PW50.
Anyway, after a couple of hours, the kids started getting uncomfortable because there were so many faster riders on the little loop they were playing on so we packed up and went home to swim.
I did see one reallynice F350 with a toy hauler and a 4 wheeler though...
