I have been lurking on this site for a few weeks, and I appreciate all the tips that I have read.

I recently purchased a 2007 Yamaha WR250F. I have been riding on the street for years, and thought it would be fun and a great way to improve my road skills by taking up trail riding.

I will start with my first question that I cannot seem to find an answer for (looked on web and called WA DOL).

Where do these Washington State ORV and month and year tag stickers go on the motorcycle? Is there a preferred place to put them? Do I even need to put the month and year stickers on the motorcycle?

Thanks in advance!

I have put them on the steering tube before, so when it time for new plastics it was easy. Now I have got them on the front number plate so when the ranger wants to see them he looks and waves me by. I have never had them comment about where they were put.

Will, I just took a look at your profile, somehow the new WR250f clicked in my head (my roommate said you just picked one up). I am your neighbor two doors down (Scott). Anyother questions, feel free to come by and talk shop.

Yes, you need the month and year stickers. I put them on my swingarm, not the best place, but they seem to survive alright.

I put them on the frame downtube behind the front fender. They are not readily visible but I don't want to mess up a nice looking bike by slapping those stickers somewhere obvious. Don't put them on your plastics...if you bust up your plastics you will have to go buy new stickers.

I will stop by! I have a trailer, and need someone to go ride with!

Thanks for the pointers folks!
