I have a 02 xr650l what kind of battery do I need? I would take the info off the old one but my father in his infinite wisdom decided that it would work better on his rototiller that he sold with my battery. Maybe I shouldnt leave my bike around him hmmm.

Also what kind of headlight replacement do I need...yes he took that too, I really dont know what for.:)

Hi, it looks like your bike should have a YTX9-BS battery in it, i did a qiuck look in the thumpertalk store http://shop.thumpert...t.asp?p=476&s=2 (was too lazy to find my owners manual). the headlight bulb should be an H4, while youre at it you could get an upgraded bulb (100w instead of 55w) for a little more light if you night ride much. http://shop.thumpert...fault.asp?p=873 Good luck and have fun riding when you get it back together, oh yeah keep your dad from scavaging parts from it anymore :)

yeah he has a 400 ex and for some reason he thinks parts are interchangable with mine. He doesnt belive in going to the store and buying nope ill just rob it off my kids bike (e.g. we had a power outage here a few months ago. I had just filled my bike with gas and parked it for the winter...He has two generators one for his house and the other just to piss his neighbors off he ran it for christmas lights, needless to say I had to refill the tank again after he got power back) :)

Thank you for the info. That 100w wont be too much for my system will it?

alternator on the 650L puts out 186w so no prob running the 100w bulb. had one on my bike almost since new and never had a charging problem :)
