Quick XRR Uni Filter Question

OK, I must be stupid or something. The UNI filter I got does not fit inside the XRR airbox when used with the aluminum frame it comes with. It is slightly too big. I couldn't force it to go in.

With the aluminum frame removed and sitting on the stock backfire screen it fits. Still a bit too large, but can be tucked in.

Am I doing something wrong?

the newer uni filter already has a backfire screen in it and you don't need the stock one. I burnt mine and almost a forest with the first one(old style thbat used backfire screen. and the backfire screen installed no, they don't fit that well in my opinion
