I have searched in vain for the last hour, looking for pics of the IMS tanks. Anyone have a pic of the tank mounted to these bikes?:applause: WC

Nice looking bike!
So does the tank use the stock mounting points or do you have to fabricate something to make it work?
By the way, where did you get those frame protectors to keep the V part of the frame from getting scratched up by your boots?
Thanks

Everything needed to mount it up, came with the tank, except the fuel petcock, which is used from the stock tank. The frame guards are DeVols, made for the later model XR 600 R. You have to make a couple of holes so the passenger peg mounts with go through. The graphics on the tank are for an XR 50, with the red parts cut off. The bike's been a lot of work, but it works pretty decent...

Oh yeah! I think I need to do a minor bit of jetting though since it has a flat spot right off idle.

I'm pretty sure I got them from a Parts Unlimited dealer about 5 yrs ago,
along with a lot of other stuff I bought. If I find any others, I'll post the info.

4 or 4.7, never measured it.:) I just barely had enough to do white rim after salvaging a quart from the antifreeze jug that didn't make it. From Moab it was 154 miles round trip. Riding hard I hit reserve around 100 miles.:ride:
