hi guys newbee here so ill try not to repeate existing questions
here goes

i ve ordered a new 07 wr450 from usa 6 week wait though (i m in england) struggled to find 1 where i am, after plenty of reading on tt i eventually ordered jd jetting kit and tt ais removal kit

1. does either of these items come with the adjustable fuel screw or do i have to buy this seperate
2. is there anything else i need to order to improve performance(trying to cut postage costs and order all in 1 go)suggestions welcome
3. what exhaust sytems do you guys recommend to release those hidden ponies without being too loud(do akrapovich make a system for wr)
4.just seen 07 hotwheels graphics which look awesome only for yz will these fit wr of not
5.after i ve added these parts and completed rest of free mods whats next or will that be ample
sorry for all questions but feeling bit disheartened bike getting slated and bad reviews overhere big time in all mags etc just hope bike is gonna be ok and rip

thanks for looking and any help is appreciated:applause: :applause:

BUY SEPARATELY

2. is there anything else i need to order to improve performance(trying to cut postage costs and order all in 1 go)suggestions welcome

SUSPENSION - SEE BELOW

3. what exhaust sytems do you guys recommend to release those hidden ponies without being too loud(do akrapovich make a system for wr)

JUST REMOVE BAFFLE AND FIT INSERT FROM TT SHOP. YOU DON`T REALLY NEED TO SPEND LOADS OF MONEY ON AN EXPENSIVE EXHAUST UNLESS YOU ARE PLANNING TO COMPETE AT TOP LEVEL. SPEND YOUR MONEY ON GETTING YOUR SUSPENSION RIGHT AND YOU WONT REGRET IT

4.just seen 07 hotwheels graphics which look awesome only for yz will these fit wr of not

NOT SURE

5.after i ve added these parts and completed rest of free mods whats next or will that be ample

JUST DO FREE MODS THEN RIDE AND SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT YOU MAY FIND YOU HAVE PLENTY OF POWER. I HAVE ALTERED THE GEARING TO 14/50 FROM STANDARD 15/48. AND THIS MAKES THE BIKE MUCH MORE USABLE FOR OFF ROAD THOUGH MINE IS AN 06 MODEL
YOU WILL NEED TO GET YOUR SUSPENSION SET UP ACCORDING TO YOUR WEIGHT AS STANDARD SUSPENSION IS SET FOR TEN STONE LIGHTWEIGHT.
I CAN GIVE YOU A NUMBER FOR UK SUSP SPECIALIST IF YOU WANT TO RING THEM FOR ADVICE. JUST LET ME KNOW AND GOOD LUCK.

sorry for all questions but feeling bit disheartened bike getting slated and bad reviews overhere big time in all mags etc just hope bike is gonna be ok and rip

Bad reviews, you don't say? Just what are the mags saying across the pond?

Here, in the colonies, we hear nothing but good things about the blue rocket.:applause:

thanks for replies guys

from trawling through tinternet i ve been lead to believe wr450 2007 will not produce same power increases as earlier models unless full exhaust systm is used due to stock pipe smaller diameter and not as good as prev
just to enlighten you on bad reviews here is some quotes taken direct from scources
"the wr450f is basically a blue hoover vacuum cleaner on knobbies"
"its slow to a fault, even with muffler core, airbox sorted and throttle stop removed it will never run down a yz450,or yz250,or yz125 prob wont even hang with 85cc bike"
see what i mean just slippings from first review at hand hearing so many different things as i said getting bit confuddled as what to expec
ps i would be extremely grateful for contact in uk re suspension set up
cheers kenny

lies, lies, lies, nothing but filthy lies (maybe with the exception of yz450:busted: ) the rest is nothing but lies...

But seriously, I honestly don't think who ever wrote that ever rode the WR, besides compairing WR to a YZ is kinda stupid. Just my $.02

kenny, just keep reading these threads and you'll feel even better. Those quotes from whatever rags they came from are simply ridiculous. When you do the mods (easy), you'll understand xrmarty's comments. Silly saps.
Take it easy and enjoy your new ride. :applause:

I'm a bit late to this party, but I may be able to enlighten you a bit. I bought an '06 WR450 last year and absolutely loved it. If anyone says they're slow, they're a damn liar. This year I had to have the aluminum (aluminium for those across the pond) framed '07 WR450, so I sold my '06 to my son and bought the '07. Since then I have installed the GYTR AIS kit and had the suspension rebuilt and tuned for my fat butt (230lbs). In retrospect I would not suggest the AIS kit. As I was installing mine I got to the point of installing the main air jet. It said to thread it into the hole in the carb bell (there are 2 holes at the bottom of the carb opening) well...the hole is not threaded and I could not get a straight answer from my dealer about this. I ended up with plugging the AIS port on the front of the engine, installing the leakdown jet and the throttle stop. The rest of the kit is sitting on my bench. I also removed the baffle from the tailpipe. The bike absolutely rips. It feels even better than the '06. Seems to handle better for me in the woods. I also like the Pro Tapers that come on the bike now. Any questions just ask.
