GI-Joes has amsoil on sale right now. 20% off which is about $6.50 a quart - That's cheaper than the preffered program at amsoil.com. I just cleaned my local store out of MCF 10-40...

Actually, it's not cheaper, but you wouldn't have to ship it, would you?

Exactly. But then again I wouldn't pay taxes if I ordered online. I think it actually works out to be about the same price. In this case convenience wins out...

That Amsoil program is the ticket.

I'm not sure why you'd say that 6.50 isn't cheaper?

Even if you buy a case of 12 quarts using the preferred customer program, the price comes to 6.55 a quart. That's after you pay the 20 bucks to join for a year.

My price as a PC per quart in cases of 12 is $6.35. Price per quart in 4 gallon cases is $6.04. I already conceded the shipping price. Don't be a nit picker.

At two such cases per year, this produces a net true cost of $7.28/qt.

Joe's had a grand opening in my area last week, $6.79 or so per court. I bought all they had on the shelf.

But I wasn't even figuring in or mentioning shipping costs. I was simply trying to understand why you and mattz06yzf were telling the original poster that the 6.50 price he came across was more expensive than the PC program.

I'm simply trying to understand your angle on how you arrived at the pc cost being cheaper than 6.50, how does that make ME a "nitpicker"?

If you don't figure shipping, I pay $6.65/qt.

You didn't get what I was saying.

Correct, I'm not understanding what your saying and while attempting to understand where you're coming from I get called a nitpicker. :applause:

The original post by Andy250 indicates he bought it for 6.50 a quart. Even in this post, you indicate that without shipping that you pay 6.65 under the amsoil pc program.

So, NO biggie, BUT... the part I'm not understanding is why is it that yourself and matts06yzf indicated that 6.50 was NOT as cheap as the Amsoil PC program. What am I missing when 6.50 is no longer less expensive than 6.65 ?
