Fork seal oil level question

Hey Gang,

Just finished changing my fork seals. Took me a few hours, but got it done.

My question is: It only took about 400ml to fill each fork to 120mm below the top of the fork when the manual says each fork will hold over 500 ml each.

Did I do something wrong? I am hoping I just didn't get all of the old oil out.

As long as you pumped the rod in and out when you drained it you probably got most of the oil out. Then you needed to pump the rod up and down after you put oil in it to get the air out and you should have seen the oil level drop. Then just adjust it to the proper level.
