I just updated my signature line yesterday. While doing so I see that a couple people have posted some negative comments.

One person went so far as to call me a "looser". Hey buddy, if you can't spael werdds & yoose prapeer anglish perhaps you should not be adding to peoples feedback. If you read this-and you know who you are-I DARE you to make a comment like that to my face. I will make your dentist happy with the money he makes off fixing your busted grill.

If you don't like what someone else has to say, and they have not attacked YOU directly-be a MAN, and behave like your parents brought you up properly. This site is about sharing knowledge & information to help others along the path. If you can't contribute POSITIVELY-maybe you should go back to the daycare you escaped from.

I think the moderators should make the writer of all feedback public. Unfortunately it is going to have to come to that as some people, under the condition of anonymity will act like the "loosers" that they are.

I just read another post where someone gave a guy negative feedback. I read what the guy posted and can see no reason why someone would do that. He posted from his personal experience and beliefs and I actually agreed with what he had to say.

I send this request out to the moderators-please make the identity of ALL people posting feedback available to those that are receiving the feedback.

I bet you most the negative crap will stop immediately once people are held accountable for their actions. Just like mommy & daddy used to do-or should have done.:applause:

Just an FYI for you guys-us moderators have no control over the feedback system-it's set up as a blind function, and not even we can control it. This would be on the Administrative side (site setup).

On the upside, there have been some real jerks who the reputation system has removed from TT altogether-if a person really annoys alot of people, and they give lots of bad gas to that person, that person can be removed by the community's choice.

Kinda nice to see the unwanted's removed by their peers, instead of us mods being the bad guys. :applause:

Don't feel bad, I have gotten "knocked" reputation points for telling the truth about the towing capabilities of a minivan-it's not going to safely tow a 30' Toyhauler in the CA MT's.

This is exactly why I disabled the karma feature on my forum. Too many azzhats using it to be stupid. You know the type, you say something they don't agree with so rather than agreeing to disagree they decide to flood you with bad karma (or in this case, bad feedback and sucking up all your gas).

The system (karma/fuel) is great for knowing who the more intelligent and helpful people are when it's used properly, but there's often to many jerks on the net who flush it right down the toilet and make it more of a headache than a benefit.

Yep, he's right and I already got bad feedback for saying the same thing, although not nearly as well.

Here is a thread full of poeple that are not even close to the facts:

https://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=500523

Stock XR650L going 110mph! (36~38 rwhp uncorked) No one even looking at what a DRZ400E (uncorked 40rwhp close to the 42rwhp of a XR600R) will do. Come on, guys you get all spiffed over someone giving negitive feed back but, really what is this forum coming too? I guess it is nothing more then a chat room where we can just spit out any info we feel is right, without even looking up the facts on weight, horsepower, running the bikes on the dyno. (yes, I have ran them on the dyno) People just shooting down a pumper cab. because they don't want to spend the money to find out and are happy with the stock bogg (or never twist the trottle hard enough to know it's there). Nothing wrong with using the stock carb. It can made to work and work great if you get it tuned right, XL650L CV carb. or the XR650R Kehin) but, there is stuff out there that does work better. I am not saying everyone has to race there bike or even want to but, some have spent $20,000+ on just making the best suspension, engine, stuff on each of several of different bikes to find what works and what doesn't. Then some bone-head comes allong with fancy talk spouting off junk that has been proven to be wrong and no one says anything. In other words the forum is be coming a joke and posters are worried about their fuel gauge? Well, I had to vent after reading that silly thread and there are more and more of them each day. It was a very different forum a year or two ago. Barnum, Mike Kay, David Gray, Jay Lewis, Jimmy Sones, Mike Powel, Gene Lane, Bob Rice, I don't see those kind here anymore...........I don't have a problem with weekend wariors on there XL650L's fallowing there 5 year old kids around at Staddard wells, thats what riding with the family is about but, when it come to proformance or what works the best, comparing different bikes get the facts right!!!!!:applause:

A little sensitive? I was just throwing in the other side. Focus....stay in there buddy.....breath, breath......most of what I write is to make a point, facts or to laugh at. By far you are not the only one that has shot at the Edelbrock and like the Stock kehin. My point is; have you tried other pumper carburetors? (Come on I am not pointing you out, just trying to make a point) Tons have tried the edlebrock and at least 95% say it make a much better all around bike, just as Daves carb. mod's help the XL650L. I have tried Mikuni TM40, HSR42, Edelbrock, Edelbrock bored to 42mm, FCR41 and have tested most of them on the dyno. Some on stock bikes and some on 680cc engines. Saying all that, I think it's great that you use the stock kehin, it works and works well but, there is better. Do I know you? have I ridden with you. Maybe at one of the pigfests? Baja? Jawbone? It's a whole different story once you talk to someone in person.

Here is something else to think about:

There are several guys with more then two ID's, giving theirself gas.

Guys are more concerned with spelling then the facts of how to make the bike the best it can be, or those that think it's perfect the way it is....."nothing could be better". Taking it personal if others spend the money to mod their bike. (I guess it says theirs are not good enough)

Then there are those that are the forum police. Everything has to be there way.

Posters that use your fuel to make there fuel (that they gave theirself) look better.

All reasons for these guys to use up your fuel.

I am not saying that these are good reasons to do so, but, just pointing out some reasons........

The spelling police are the silliest:p

I am not much of a mouse, maybe a man mouse? I am not that big...190 pounds, 5' 10", kinda old at 43, riding sence 1973, If anyone thinks they want to fix my teeth or race me on my bike I think I might need either or both. Lots know where I live (Cherry Valley, CA) type a little fast and I do not take the time to reread what I type, does not bother me if others miss a word here or there. One thing I type a lot is; 'most of what you read is a reflection of the attitude you are in at the time you read a post'. I'll sign my feedback.:applause:

My reason for being on this forum is NOT to wach a gas gauge. I don't have a fuel gauge on my bike and it works just fine. I know who I am I don't need a gauge to tell me.

:applause: means FUN, I respect you knowledge but enjoy having :applause: too. Sorry I got you going a bit, but you gotta admit there are some very fast guys on the 650r that don't care a bit about an Edelbrock or a big bore kit. If I was worried about fuel, I'd have some. Sorry on the spelling, teacher comes out uncontrollably at times. Spelling is like the attention to detail you'd give your bike.
