Any luck selling lately?

I put my 05 WR in the TT classifieds at the first of last month and had a ton of internet "lookers" and most didn't have a problem with the price. Non came to look at it but they were atleast noticing it. I put it back in there a couple days ago and NO ONE is interested now. I haven't tried the local paper yet because I really thought it would have a better chance on the internet since 90% of the people around here that ride don't even know what a WR is. Is anyone else having any luck selling anything right now or is it just me?

Try the local craigslist. Seems like it works well around here.

Do you have a local recycler in your area? I have sold a couple of bikes through there and the ad is free so you have nothing to lose.

I think you are probably right about the taxes. My wife works at a Harley shop as the finance manager and last month they sold over 90 bikes and this month its closer to 20. I guess all the people who knew they were getting big refunds spent them last month.

I think that's a bit high. When I was buying my 07, the dealer was selling off the brand new 06 wr250 for$ 4800 and the 450 for $5199

I'll try the local trader paper next week. I don't think there are any left-overs still around here. If there are the dealerships in this are won't sell for less than dealer cost and 4800 is about $900 under. I was told that dealer on the 07's is around $5800 if anyone was wondering.

That's sounds like way too much. I bought my plated '01 WR426 a year ago for $2100, it had 12,400 miles on it and was well used but it still runs great.

around here, 400/426's go for $2600 max if they are pristine. 450's can be $3200 up to $5500 used

Around here there isn't much call for a WR. Its not that they don't like them, its just easier to get an "R" type model and ride it everywhere since there really isn't a lot of place to ride offroad anymore. Its mostly MX tracks.
