2006 YZ450F clickers...

I am a begginer MX (only hit the track once so far, but I have been desert/dune riding for years) I have a completely stock '06 YZ450F and was wondering what starting suspension settings you guys recommend or maybe what you are running. Im 170 lbs. ready to ride (full gear).

Also, I noticed its hard to tell when the adjusters are bottomed out, as in tightened and ready to be backed out to your desired "clicks". I feel the resistance build like they are tightening but they feel like they could keep going. Im afraid to damage them, anyone else noticed this??
