counter sprocket leaking

Ok so my seal on my counter shaft is spewing oil bad. I replace it and started it with the sprocket off and it leaks worse. any ideas.

Did you grease the inner lip of the seal before hammering in into place? If not, then it might have been damaged while installing it. Just a thought.
