I picked up an 06 WR450 and I'm still getting to know this bike and was wondering what the hot start really does and if it's the same thing as a "decompression lever" or does this bike have an automatic decompression?

Thanks

I believe the hot start lever lets air into the intake effectivly leaning out the mix for easier starts when hot (unlike the "choke" which is actually an enricher for cold starts), the '06 has an auto decompressor attached to the exhaust cam, I think.........I usually forget to pull my hot start and it seems to start right up when warm
