Am I on dope or is there no master link on a 2004 650l???If there is no master link I am assuming you grind off????and buy a masterlink to put back on????Im trying to shorten my chain anybody that could shed a little light I would appreciate your response

theres no master link on my '06L either so i'm guessing you are correct in the grind and replace theory.

Yep, you're right. You can use a chain breaker too.
