Hi everyone, I have a 98 yz400f and have been gathering parts to convert my bike to a 426 in the winter when I have some downtime. I have a question though, I have the complete yz426 crank/rod assembly. Can I crack the cases myself and install everything myself? How hard is it to do?

lots of bolts...lol its not to bad as long as you make sure everything goes back in and you have the bolts separated, otherwise you might run short of bolts...lol

Get a digital camera and take lots of clear close pictures of every step along the way, that way if you get screwed up you have something to fall back on. (not to mention having the correct and full owners manual.)

Good luck
