sub mount stabilizer and aftermarket clamps on 07 WR

Just wondering what tripple clamps work well for a sub-mounted Scotts stabilizer on your WR's. Pictures would be nice to give me an idea what it looks like. I'm planning on getting the 07 WR 450 this late spring/early summer. The installation of a stabilizer on earlier wr's is much like the honda xr due to the oil filler plug in upper frame. But what about the aluminum frame 07?

I have the SUB mount and like it a lot. I did not go with the triple clamp, I'm using my stock clamps with Scott's handle bar risers.

I've ordered the Scotts sub-mount system too (retaining the stock triple clamp), but it's been on back order for a while now. I'm getting impatient....

BRP has them in stock, Just got one for our 07 YZ250f.

I could be wrong, but I guess it doesn't matter what kind of tripples one uses, as long as the risers fit.

I just mounted the BRP kit on my 07' and it is a nice kit. From the pics above I don't see much of difference between the BRP and the Scotts kit. The BRP kit cost me $325. The BRP kit states that their mount works with the stock triple clamp and SOME aftermarket clamps....

My BRP Kit did and the more I look at your pics, the the steering neck clamp looks 100% Identicle. My stabilizer also came with the larger thumbwheel adjuster

It emulates the stock forward position & 1" up.

Can I ask where you got the BRP kit from for $325 and was that for everything.

FYI, I installed the riser/submount yesterday. The number plate mounting bolt location interfers with the mount fitting properly.

I had to remove about 1/2" of material from the Web between the two bar mount towers.

06 and 07 YZf's will have this same problem.

I called BRP and they are redesigning the aplication.

The part works fine now but its a little frustating having to uglify a part thats suposed to fit properly. ?

On a side note, I was told yesterday (by a guy in a local shop) that the only way to go with a submount stabilizer at this time is to retain the stock tripple clamps.

If this is true, I'll have to go with a standard mount. Kind of disappointing though...

Hey guys, I just ordered a BRP SUB mount + Scott's dampner kit for HS racing and wondered if you had any updates on your's? I will be mounting mine up with the stock tripple clamps and bars, BONZ bar clamps and Cyrcra Pro Bends. Any additional feedback on fitment, performance, etc would be great - pics would be cool, too (the shots in this thread don't work anymore). Also wondering how much you noticed the 1" higher bars. I'm hoping it won't be too bad with the relatively flat Pro Tapers.
