BOGATA — A 4-year-old girl was killed Sunday in a four-wheeler accident near Bogata, Texas Department of Public Safety reports confirm.
Gracie Raeann Williams of Bogata, a passenger on the Pola Hawkeye all-terrain vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a report filed by trooper Matthew Kuhlengel of Clarksville.
A 13-year-old Deport boy, who was driving the vehicle, and Heather Williams, 29, of Bogata were transported to Titus County Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant in stable condition with lacerations, according a TDPS official in Texarkana.
The vehicle was northbound on County Road 1427, five miles north of Bogata, when it entered a sharp curve at a “speed too fast to stay on the roadway,” according to reports. It hit a barbed wire fence on the east side of the roadway, the official said.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Wood Funeral Homes in Bogata.
