Ryan i think i will just ride them, if they blow they blow, if Honda doesnt fix them then they can take by buisness and shove it up there ***. The NMA added a CRF150R only class this year, be interesting to see how many show up out of 3500 entries especially after this camshaft causing people the shaft.

I was in a dealership here in Las Vegas yesterday trying to see a CRF150RB expert. All they said they had in stock was the CRF150R. My son is a bit too tall for the 150R so we really want the 150RB. The dealer sales rep didn't bother to tell us about the update (recall), instead, he ask us if we wanted to leave a deposit and he would order one. We didn't leave any deposit because we wanted to size one up before buying so we went to another dealer and where told about the recall. They told us that they were ordered to stop sales until the recall kits were received and the required repairs were complete. He actually said it was a clutch problem. I think he had it mixed up with the crf250R witch has a clutch recall.

Too many people complaining about this it's official Honda steped up and did what they always do stand behind their bikes.  When the parts come in youll make an appointment they will replace the cam you will pick up your bike and go riding.  Simple as that be happy they are offering to fix it remember there is no warranty on race bikes they shouldnt have to do a thing but im sure glad they are.  Thank you Honda for stepping up and doing what other companies wont.

intake valve springs, camshaft and the associated gaskets.

the job pays 2.3 hours.

you should communicate with your dealer for estimated down time.

Got my new cam installed yesterday by Donnell's Honda in Independence, MO. Also added a 45 slow jet, went ahead and replaced the top end since the cylinder was off... the bike had about 30 hours on it. I do have to say, by the looks of the piston that came out, it probably could have went 60 hours easy. I mean it looked good.

I gotta give a big thanks to Donnell's Honda. Bart, Jesse & Larry, you guys hooked us up, the bike runs better than new. Service after the sale is hard to find these days, but you guys have got it down! Thanks again.

Thats just fricking great, next weekend we are supposed to be leaving to go and race in Las Vegas for the world minis, both of our bikes are in the screwed up camshaft range, what do we do? go and take a chance that they will not break, if they do is Honda going to warranty them when the engine grenades, stay home and twiddle our thumbs and not ride them until they get the camshafts in, when are they coming ? no dealer here has them here, thats screwed up, now i am out of $300 in entry fees, valuable experience and sitting around doing nothing when we are used to racing every weekend. Was anybody told that they cannot ride them? my paperwork just says there is a recall. Whats next to break or get recalled? first year production, should have known better to buy.
If it were me and I had a chance of winning that race I would call American Honda in LA and tell them what you just told us...They want you to win races on their bikes. See what they want you tpo do and what they will do for you if the cam breaks while at the races...Who knows they may just tell you to go racing and if it breaks will pay for it. No since wasting the season....

we were one of the lucky ones with the recall cam and if yours is one of them they'll send you a letter, but we had already decided to do the top end before, our son races and practices alot and with about 25 hours the motor is gettin' tired!!!! using hot cam stage 1,pro curcuit piston, tokyo mods cam chain tensioner, port and polish the head, heavy duty valve springs, should be awesome:applause: If looking for exhaust White Bros. carbon pro is awsome and their carb. kit,WOW a must have:thumbsup:

It's not a good idea to go out and race the bike if it's one with a faulty cam. Yea Honda will replace what is broken, but are they gonna pay for the hospital bill from you or your kid going down. What usually happens if the motor locks up when on the face of a triple wfo and that cam fails? :applause: I think everyone on here knows what would happen. Bad day if you ask me. I wouldn't put my child in that situation. That's Russian rootlet! It's gonna fail, but when is the question.
