I have an XR's only and there is no way it's going to pass 96db. One of my riding chums has a White Bros, oval silencer and it's much quieter. (and mechanical sounding) I still have the stock pipe and I'm waiting for the ticket but it hasn't happened yet. I'm real careful not to be on the pipe when it'll rub someone the wrong way. Not as loud as most of the Harleys I hear out there.

if you have too much of a problem, they do make a quiet core insert that is supposed to bring it down to 96 or below. might get one this summer for my 400, its loud, but not deafening
