They look sturdy and great. Do they keep mud from clogging up the radiator though?

The fit looks perfect, better than the Unabikers on my 06. I really like how these were designed for the 07.

It looks like there is a joint or coupler in line on you're left radiator hose in the 3rd pic. why?

Coolant temperature sensor for the Vapor computer.

I've used Unabikers on my 02 WR250 and my 07 WR450. They both look and work great. My 07s are anodized black and really look sharp! Brian provides a great product and fantastic support!

what temperatures do you have set for the sensor? I dont know what to set the warning and danger light at for my yz250f

well I just got mine in the mail and went to install them. Not to difficult, but I did have a small problem with the holes lining up with the plastic radiator shrouds. Only had two lock washers in the kit and unless I screwed something up (and I could have) it calls for four of them, will have to go to town for them tomorrow. They look very good and very strong as well, well worth the money, hopefully I will never need them (ha,ha). I think they are the best look'en ones out there personally. Don't need to remove the rads to install but might make it a little easier, left mine on during the install.

what size and brand gas tank is that? thanks for the info im gonna half to get me a set of the guards as well!!!

IMS 3.1 gallon. You will need the 06 or 07 YZ shrouds to go along with the tank.

1. In the istallation step where it instructs you to start tightening everything up, the inner bolts on the front support rods are impossible to access at this point. I would instruct installers to tighten these bolts prior to slipping the guards over the radiators versus telling us to leave them loose.
2. The fit of the shrouds is not good after installation. A longer bolt needs to be provided for the shroud to guard mount and the location is off a little.

At the end of the instruction sheet it asks to provide comments to Brian and I think I will. I am happy over all I just hope I never have to take those things apart on the trail for any reason...

Yes there is a gap between the shroud and lower mounting point, but the kit came with two longer bolts with locking nuts, and two plastic spacers to fill in the gap.

What I did instead is cut a plug/spacer of the correct length off an aluminium dowel and drilled and tapped it to the same thread pitch as the shroud bolt. I bolted (with red loc-tite) one end of the spacer to the lower guard hole. The lower mounting point of the shrouds now presses up almost perfectly with the spacer and I can now use the stock shroud bolt to attach the shroud. A little extra work, but a pretty clean finish.

Yes it did but the bolt was not long enuf for the threads to make contact with the nylon on the lock nut without removing the washer and even then it was marginal.

How did you tighten the inner front support rod bolts?

The bolt was plenty long on my installation, but I didn't care for the way things looked. See my post above, I added a paragraph.

I did as you suggested and tightened the inner bolts before slipping the guards over the rads. I learnt this the hard way and had to dismantle everything and start afresh.

OK got mine today and installed. Found out how badly bent my rads were from not having the gaurds earlier. I like the look, and ease of install. I think I'll go back and put Loctite on all those little bolts. Also I think Brian should include the spacers and longer bolts for shroud.
