You have it figured out already. It's marginally stronger, and costs more. The ORN-6 is all you need.

Grayracer, thank you very much,I assume the only difference between the two
is different metal, thickness in the sideplates are the same?..correct?
also stock chain on a '06' YZF450 with stock gearing is 114 links?

No. The plates are thicker, and the chain is 0.8mm wider overall. It's also slightly heavier. For that, you go from 7600 psi to 7900? Not worth it.

All that info is on the Regina site, which is something you don't generally see with other chains. Mine has more wear on the "top" (the vertical outside edge of the plates) from dragging through dirt in the chain guide than anywhere else. At this rate, that may be the thing that finally gets it off the bike.

Gray,I knew I was talking to the right guy!..That's exactly the info I needed!
Thank You!...how do I find out how many Link chain is on stock bike(114?)
is it in the shop manual?..or would it be on yamaha's website...I really don't
want to get a larger chain and cut/grind the rivets,I have no intention in the
future to change gearing.Thx again ED

Stock is 114. I always buy a 120 and cut it to fit.
