I have a XRs only on my XRL I don't feel I lost much if any on the bottom end, much to my surprise. I am running an XRs onl mikuni flat slide also,so maybe that helps with the bottom end issue. One point I would make is the XRs only is built better,no rivets, this thing should be lasting a while.(stainless) I know two diff bikes ,but the build of the pipe is important.

Just curious what you have now, stock, modified stock? Just wondering why you are chasing power on a bike with so much to deliver. Is it uncorked? I have the big gun, It works, looks good, but it leaks at all the rivets etc, tried contacting them many times, they never called back. I had to use a car muffler clamp to connect to the header pipe. Overall, not impressed with the fit or the company. But my bike has loads of power. I don't get caught up with low,mid top end power. This bike just is loaded across the board once you open it. I also keep the quiet baffle in it, which keeps me entered in the races if they check, without it it is just over 100db.

The advantages of the XRs Only exhaust is that it is stainless steel. The Big Gun is mild steel with a ceramic coating. Ceramic coating is good for holding heat inside the exhaust system and does provide good weather resistance. The drawback is it still rusts from the inside-out due to condensation.

As mentioned, the XRs Only mufflers are probably better made than the Big Gun. If you ever damage your Big Gun systems muffler and want to try a different brand, that will be a no-go. The Big Gun headers are larger than other brands and only the Big Gun muffler fits their header, :applause:. The XRs Only header is the standard size at the muffler joint. So if you ever damage your XRs Only muffler beyond repair and want to try another muffler, you have the option. It is nice if this happens and you stumble onto a great deal on another brand of muffler that you like.?

Welcome to TT. yep the big gun is like them fishing lures that look good but dont catch any fish! another vote for the xrs only, it is the way to go. Are easily rebuildable and have a quiet core insert available.:applause: build quality, and fit and finish are second to none ?

A friend has the big gun its showing rust all the along the pipe to the silencer, fit was lousy too, does not line up like it should, his is also blowing black around all the rivets?

Careful! The header is stainless, but the can and rear pipe are available in coated mild steel OR stainless (guess which one costs more :applause: ). I have the coated version and it's rusty in spots. Nothing terrible yet, but...

Your right. I do remember they offer the muffler pipes in both materials. In this case I would recommend the stainless of course. It is more expensive though.

There are other good header and muffler options also for less expense...
