The 07 has a 13 tooth front stock and my 05 has a 14 tooth. It appears in the manual (I'm not expert on the gear ratios), that the overall gearing is about the same. On my 05 I run a 15/50, for Baja. I need about the same gearing. Stock 07 is 13/50. Should I simply bolt on a 14? I'm a little bummed because the 15 is easier on the chain.

Thanks

The primary reduction ratio on the 07 is different from all the other model year WRs (hence the 13T front sprocket). The 1-5 gear ratios are all the same between all years.

Sorry, I really wasn't much help, was I?

Yes, the 14T should put you in same ball park as the 15/50 combo on previous year bikes.
