engine noise question...

Noticed tonight that when idling in neutral with the clutch out, makes a bit of mechanical noise vs. when pulling the clutch in, pretty noticeable difference. Any of you guys notice this? Guessing it is just the nature of the beast. I guess the noise I would be hearing is in the transmission. Oh well, hope it doesn't frag.

this is the loudest bike I've ever owned, I swore I had a lower end problem, ...that was 7000 miles ago, still rips like a raped ape.. just a noisy engine

Yep. Pretty noisy engine. I was going to suggest checking your clutch hub bushing but that would make noise with the clutch in, tranny in gear.
