A drz is lighter than your klx. I am not suggesting that you get a drz. I just wanted to get that out there. drz stret is in the 280's. The drz kick is 261 pounds

Get the 450.

Yea, I have the 450.

I do not regret a single thing.

It runs like a raped ape and thats bone stock! Maybe one day I'll uncork it... but I really don't need to right now.

If you think it's fast now, uncork it and see what happens. I never rode mine stock so I don't know. It's got good power without being overwhelming. Mine is so much fun to ride that I haul a$$ without even trying to, especially down hill. My friends tell me that I go way faster now. I am just into having fun and don't pay attention. It's all good to me ! For what it's worth, I did the pro moto billet insert and used the 06 yz450 needle in the middle slot. 45 pilot ,172 main and 45 leak jet. Of course they gray wire and ais were done too. I have no plans to modify it further.

ENJOY !

STS.

ps. If you get the 450, don't have any illusions about spanking a 525 KTM. They turn on where the WR450 turns off.[/QUOTE]

power makes no difference... rider skill and endurance are all that matters.... it's the way u USE ur power... which is y id say go with the wr250f but then again, i am quite biased in saying that i ride a YZ250F. i DO however undoubtedly kno that 250f's are NIMBLE on trails and tight stuff... but u said u want highway too... just try em both out and see which one u like the best. good luck! :applause:
