why cant we just have an XR600R forum

Recommended Posts

Well, I had brought this up in one of my first posts, :naughty: . I am a XR650R rider and find that sifting through all the threads between XR650Rs, XR600Rs, XR650Ls can be a bit of a mess, :applause:. Many times guys don't bother putting their model in the thread title or even their opening question or remark,? . Then their is chiming in from some that have a totally different bike and the relation to a problem is not really applicable or even sometimes completely wrong, ? . Example recently from this thread: https://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=461867&highlight=clark+tank

A question about mileage, size and make for a [XR650R] 4.3 Clark tank or a 4.6 IMS tank. Then, in came advise for 4.0 gallon 600r or 650L tanks and such and so forth. While I understand some are trying to be helpful, the info. just starts to get all mixed up especially to a new guy that is still getting his facts straight and is partially irrelevant, :usa:. The fit and feel of the two bikes different tanks and thier perspective mileages are going to be quite different. As goes with many other things. :ride:? . I understand that there is good general advise that can be shared but that is what general forums are all about,?:worthy:

Then their is the "Show your Pig" thread. From what I have known, the Pig is mainly known as the BRP=Big Red Pig= The XR650R. That was this guys bike and he wanted to see other [bRPs], that is how I enterpreted anyway. I could be wrong on this one. I surely don't want to sound as if I am slamming on the other big bore bikes. I am just making sincere points of reference of why there are those of us that think the three models of bikes should have thier seperate forums. I bet there are many out there that want this but don't speak up about it for fear of getting the smack down,? from the other bike model riders, :usa:

Not to play favorite or anything but especially the XR650R, It is just so much different than the other two similar models,?.

Just my 2 cents, ? .

WAh, Wah, WAh. try owning a 2 stroke regardless of brand they lump all them together, got a question about an rm 125, try getting answers for a rm 65, So wah, wah, wah, you just have to have a bit of common sense and courtesy, its like saying this is a whites only highway, no asians or blacks allowed. Quit your whining and deal with it :naughty::eek:?:applause:?

Last I checked this place was called Thumpertalk...as in braaap...not mingdadadingding! :ride:

All people need to do is be more specific in their subject lines...and us "primadonna" "R" riders will gladly skip.?

That works fine for me. The 650R came after the 650L.

Have to agree with the power of putting your complete model in the subject of your post, though!

definately, it only makes sense that you would do so. On a forum with different models its common sense and a courtesy to the other model owners. Alas, there is a lack of common sense and courtesy to others in this world today. :applause:

The XR 650 model and the XR 600 lineage (500/600/650L) share absolutely no similarities so can someone answer why they are lumped together? Totally different engines, chassis, suspension....everything.

You'd do just as well to lump all the non=red bikes together into one CF forum while your at it.:applause:

all i know is the forum is titled " xr600/650 " so they already put the 600 in the top spot. this is already my 600 forum .

Remind me again what it is the L does better? Oh, yeh, got that magic button for the "ladies" that can't quite muscle up to kick a big bad single! :applause:
