2006 yz450f stalling and backfiring at low RPM

Rode Quicksilver Enduro yesterday and bike was backfiring and stalling at low speed unless I kept the gas on. Would do this for 20 minutes and then might run good for 20 minutes. Was also difficult to start after stalling. It would start first kick though if I stopped engine myself.

Any thoughts on what is wrong. Is it jetting, bad gas, blockage?

Sounds like maybe a bead of water or ? bobbing around in the float bowl.
