Finally done 2003 450 top/bottom and head rebuild

Rebuild is finally finished. I rode it and its like new. Rides just like it used to but a lot smoother and faster. It seems like there is a lot more air box noise. It's a whistling whirling noise but it sounds cool. I'll post new pictures with the T/A exhaust soon.

Just be certain your cool new whistling, whirling noise isn't due to a leaking air boot. :lol: :applause: :applause:

Explain what the air boot is. The rubber things that connect the air box to carb to the engine? I tightened those pretty tight but I will double check. Thanks for the info.

Yes, that is the air boot. Spray some carb cleaner around the outside of both boots while the engine is idling. If the idle increases you have an airleak.
