It's the rubber plug with a connector and 2 wires running out of it. un-do the connector and pull straight up, it's a very tight squeeze. You will need a sparkplug socket to get the plug out.

Since you just bought it you may as well take the gas tank off and valve cover and check those valve shims. There are some tutorials on this site for checking your valves if you don't have a manual yet.

I have to laugh also....I just stopped at the dealership and asked them how to find the plug on my 06'. I felt like a complete idiot, so I am glad you had the same question, made me not feel sooo bad. By the way, nice ride!!!!! I have the WR250f and got to ride it once so far and absolutely loved it. I was wondering if anyone has a Tiny Tach hour/tach meter on their WR? I have one and was hooking it up and was wondering what to wrap the wire around if you do not have the standard type plug wire? Do I just wrap it around the connector wires? I hope that question makes sense, but the dealership told me that it probably would not work around the connector wires as it is the coil? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks....Brian

The cap fits tight on the plug try twisting the coil-cap assembly while pulling up. The coil is intigrated into the spark plug cap. You can also use compressed air too help get the cap off, just shoot the air in the small hole on the right side of the cylinder while pulling on the cap.
