oil comming out of dipstick hole 450 07

I found out what my problem was, my breather hose that goes into my airbox from the head was totally clogged with mud. After I cleaned it out, oil stopped coming out of the dipstick hole. So my advice is if you ride in heavy mud, check the bottom of the airbox for mud. I think I actually filled it up when I washed my bike after the fact.

I also think that it is filled up to much. I have been having a problem with my 07 WR450 spilling oil into the airbox through the hose coming out of the valve cover. I use a measuring cup to put in my oil and I think that the manual is telling us to put in more than we should. After I went on a long ride yesterday and noticed once again, a lot of oil came out into the airbox I checked my dipstick and it was fine. I am going to start pulling the 8mm bolt every time.

If you have only used 1000 gallon's of oil, then I recommend that you remove all the 8mm bolts from the bike and watch all the oil piss out untill the whole bike falls apart, then , and only then will the oil level be correct and you will not have over filled it like the 16 year old who has enough money to go to a whore house and talk crap on thumper talk. To the 16 year old who has changed his oil 8 times and has one of the best oil filters on the market, why are you changing your oil so frequently ? Do you get the oil for free ? or do you have a desire to always see clean oil on your dipstick ? (or crank casings from over filling it) or are you racing the bike ?

If your racing the bike my humble appolages, change it as many times as you want. In future read the owners manual and learn how to do it properly and the exact amount of oil required before throwing your toys on Thumpertalk. Once you have us going the guys will rag you to bits.

I change my oil every ride because I ride alot of tight stuff up here in northern,ca. My clutch gets a serious workout every ride, and since my motor oil and tranny oil are one in the same, I change it. Oil is cheap, rebuilds are not. I dont overfill my oil, thats what the special little 8mm bolt is for, thats the reason I read my manual. The manual is actually wrong when it comes to refill capacities. With a filter change the capacity is actually a little less than one quart. Just a little humor back at ya.

I changed mine and took the filter out. It took the 1.2 qts that it talked about. I took off the skid plate and removed two drain plugs. I let it drain leaning both ways for a half hour each. Hopefully, yours did not suck dirt like mine did. 2 bad bike buying experiences in 3 months. I am sooooooooooo

Mine sucked in dirt for a few hours too, sucks dont it(no pun intended)! I cant believe dealers are not checking these before they go out. We ought to get a class action lawsuit going or something.

Not teaching people to suck eggs .. but .. I always dump my oil in to a measure jug, you can see how much comes out and if you have any problems (change oil every 3 rides).. then I just put the same back in.. Normally get out 1 Litre.. just my way of doing it...

I do the same so I can find out if there are any metal shavings etc. I also fill the bike with parafin or deisel after draining the oil to flush out possible gunk. Put 500ml in the bike start it and leave it to idle for a minute then drain. Leave bike over night to drain out and fill up with oil.

Just had the same problem oil coming out of dipstick checked breather sure enough was kinked,unkinked no more oil puking out
