My free Yamaha electronic torque wrench from Yamaha finally came in the mail. I was starting to worry if it was going to come since I bought my WR in November. It is so sweet. Its made by Snapon for Yamaha and cost $405 on Snapon's web site.

Did the wrench come FREE with the purchase of your bike?

Yes. It was a Yamaha promotion. If you bought a bike by Dec 31st 06 you had a choice of a torque wrench or an impact driver.

you can get the same thing off the snap on truck for 300, nothing like a hundred dollar blue sticker. oh yeah, stock up on batteries, the vibrator will have them dead in no time.

The handle should have been blue! I wish there was a cool promotion gift when I bought my 06 WR.

Was it a special offer at your dealer or was my dealer not informing me of somthing? Was the offer for the 06 or the 07? I got the 06.

I believe that might constitute "tool misuse" and void any guarantees. :censored:

I ordered my bike in November of '06, but it did not arrive in the dealership until January. My dealer is trying to go to bat for me, but he said it may be better if I call on it myself. I guess the bike was supposed to be purchased by 12/31/06

I'm pretty sure the offer was only good on YZ and WR purchases of '07 bikes. If you have an '07 and didn't get to order your tool, I have the number for the Western Region customer service center. Not sure about you East Coasters. :ride:

Good luck. I will post my progress. I am preparing to be disappointed, coz I sure would like to get my hands on one of those torque wrenches. :censored:

I didn't buy a Yamaha but I bought one of those, well I used to have anyway before Snap-On came out with there new angle torquing digital torque wrench so I opted to trade for the new one. Still a sweet torque wrench, beeps when toruqed, vibrates when your over torquing.

I called that number I listed, and was sent to another number. Make sure you have your VIN number when you call. I don't have access to mine, so I will have to try again tomorrow.

It was an offer for all US dealers but it was only for 07's and you had to buy it before Dec 31st. If you have an old dirt bike magazine look close at the yamaha ad and you will see the offer.
