Subframes Interchangable yz426 to wr400?

I want to know if a yz426 subframe can be put on a 2000 wr400. I'm not sure what year the 426 is.

They are different part numbers. I know that is not a yes or no answer, but something must be different.

The WR unit is tube steel, the YZ is aluminum (starting in ’00, anyway) and doesn’t have the bracket for the coolant recovery.

Both of the exhaust brackets are in the same place, as are the side panels, air box, brake master cylinder and chain roller brackets. I haven’t actually done so but I don’t see any reason why it would not bolt right on (except for the lack of brackets for the overflow tank).
