If rads are lowered on 07 450 will rad guards still fit?

Last time I spoke to Doug Dubach about that the answer was "NO."

I have an 06 with the RAD lowering kit and Doug told me the (Works Connection) radiator braces will not fit the 06 after you have installed the lowering kit.

Things may be different for 07?

You also have to be careful with header clearance on the 450 or you will boil your radiator with the heat from the head pipe.

Just read your post...

Doug Dubach wouldn't let me leave the building until I agreed to take the new style bend header pipe that allows the same clearance from rad to head pipe as stock...i just swapped stock Dr.D lowboy header for this one.

Do you have to still have to take off the header to change the oil filter?

No you don't have to take the pipe off you just have to loosten and twist it a little to get to the top bolt.
