so, a few month ago i got a good deal on a 2000 VOR 503mx. since then i've been trying to massage it into a useable hare scrambles/woods/trail bike. so far, so good. the engine is a sweetheart and the bike seems to hold up well to getting thrown over cliffs and cased on rocks.

however, i'm in need of a pipe. the stock muffler is wide open, loud as hell, and spark friendly. i replaced it with a universal fit supertrapp IDS2. it works, but i'm not altogether stoked wit the sound, or the cobby nature of it. and, the stock header pipes still hit the frame and engine in places.

anyone know of aftermarket pipes (either full system or slip-ons tat are spark arrestor equipped and reasonably quiet) other than big gun for this beast? any help would be greatly appreciated. cheers,
mike

You might call Brad @ 800-887-7879 ("FUN WHEELS)he is very knowledgable about VOR and his prices are good.
Glad to hear from other people with them, this is my first 4 stroke and I'm very pleased with my enduro !

EN,
thanks for the tip. VOR usa already pointed me to brad, and he's been a lifesaver on more than a few occasions. let me know however, if you ever want to swap your stock enduro muffler for a motocross one... sure is nice and loud!

what kind of terrain are you riding yours in? and what sort of suspension settings are you finding work best? most of my riding has been in supertight, rocky terrain, and the bike has taken a lot of softening up. but it's getting there.

glad to hear there are other people riding them.

I ride it in everything from sand(argh!!)to rock.
I know what you are talking about on the suspension - HARD, to date I've done nothing.I've gotten used to it, actually I just put up with it.
The great thing about the the stiffness is high speed - if your at 99% and up pops a nasty rock or rut it's handy, I use this example because I have experienced it.
So far the bike has been great!
