what size carb...........

got an 03 yz450f. what size carb are they using on this bike (36,37 etc) :ride:

My 04' uses the 39mm. I'm pretty positive the 03' used the same carb.

if you plan on changing them, i hear it is the wost thing you could ever do ever to a 4-stroke mx engine. i hear its nothing but a hand-full of headaches. thats just what i heard so don't quote me on that. :ride:

I've heard the same thing.....Don't switch to another manufacturer; it's nothing but headaches.

I've found my stock carb to be just fine. Although I recommend putting in a j/d jetting kit, it definately helps give crisper response.
