Oh yeah, HARD WORK drooling over all the cool things I could put on my bike. :ride: Heck, this is actually fun. :censored: A great thing GaThumper started.

No Glory Here!  I did it for myself as much as the rest of you...  just a good way to keep everything together for reference.  If you've ever looked at the DRZ forum, they have something similat at the top of the forum.  I had a DRZ before I got the DR650 so I wanted a good reference for the 650.

Now I'm going to pick up a '99 DR350SE Saturday, I guess I'll have to start one for the little bro 350 bikes.  I'm excited about the 350, it seems to really be a little brither to the 650.  One nice thing is that it has a six-speed tranny!  About 40 pounds lighter and makes 30 horsepower stock.  I'll be re-jetting, de-snorkling, and looking for a deal on a pipe.

Now I want to either get a 99 650 or find the tank and plastis from a 99 to make my 650 have the same look...

Wouldn't this make a nice matched pair!

Added Summers Racing...  If you know of any other sites or accessories reply here and I'll add them to the master list on the first post.

Roost On!

P.S.  I'll be adding a '99 DR350SE to the DR650 as a sideman next Saturday.  Looking forward to trying out the 650s little bro!

Make it look like ElkHunters! That thing rocks! :censored:

Yeah, I like the match pair of stock '99s... but I agreee ElkHunter has got a sweet looking bike.  I LOVE the rear fender with teh baja taillight/tag mount tucked under the Maier fender and the Baja flush mount turn lights.  It does ROCK!

The 99 DR350SE was my second bike. I put it on the dyno, in Las Vegas and it made almost 24hp stock at the rear wheel. I went on to mod the urine out of it with everything from flat slide mikuni, white bros cam, 385cc piston, head work, large bore header, procircuit megaphone.....that bike ripped. Never did a dyno once modded but it lasted a little over 35,000 miles in it's modded state before seizing on the highway. Got rid of it after that. Things I didn't like about it, the swingarm was very flexible. Rough stuff would have the rear tossing side to side as it flexed. Was a scary bike at speed off road. I had the Scott's fork brace and slider protectors, eibach springs, stainless lines, Maier mx rear fender, IMS tank, WB skid plate, Ally chain guide.....come to think of it, I spent a lot on that bike! Lasted in total a little over 40k

Very cool airbox vents posted by sproutxj! :censored: Size is a mistery so far though. :ride:

OK, I just called TwinAir. Dimensions are 4 1/2" x 2". I told them that might be some good info to post on their site.

OK, I've been kind of lazy about searching and addin to this thread.  To be honest I'm really into tricking out my newest toy, DR650s little sister! my '99 DR350SE.

But in the jetting thread, Rob came up with what I consider a GREAT addition to the list...

TwinAir Airbox Vents!

Is it something they do or can do? Maybe we just have to ask them to?

I just found out about the DR650 Ignition Guards from Advanced Motorcycle Products.  Over on Advrider they are taking orders to get the clutch side as well in the DR650 thread in the Thumpers forum.

http://www.*********...650_guards.html

hmmm...  looks like the name is censored?  just take the spaces out of the main name.  PM me if you can't make it work or just Google for Advanced and DR650 guards and you should get there.

Yeah... found that guy and emailed...asking for more info.  He wants $30.00 for the left side...and he does not have the right side yet,,,,,seems a little pricey!!!
