Where's this spring attach??

I just installed some Fastway Evolution II f3 footpegs.

While putting on the right side, I noticed the brake pedal is missing the spring (thumpertalk/yamaha part # 90506-16500-00) Where does this sucker attach to? Either I knocked it off, or it was off before I started.

I know one end connects to the detent on the brake lever, as per the diagram, but where does the other end connect to??

Any help appreciated.

on the frame? by the swingarm bolt on the pedal side
