i was wondering if anyone could give a quick explanation on how to change the fork oil in a 2004 xr650r? Do the internals all have to come out? Is there a quick way? and how much oil do they hold ? 5w or 10w?

Easy swap, but the spec'd Honda fluid is 5wt. I did mine recently and used just over a quart, total. Might need more if you go for full dissassembly.

I used ATF to flush out my XR600. It's compatible with the fork oil, but it is a lot cheaper for flushing. Over time the crud can really build up. If the fluid is black, flush until the crud is totally gone.
