I am just about done with my RM250 mx-to-offroad conversion and I am jonesing to get it out for a good ride this weekend. Is there anywhere that doesn't have snow? Mattawa looks like it only has a trace but the high temp there on Saturday is supposed to be only 15 deg....brrr. Anyplace else looking okay for the weekend? :excuseme:

I also noticed how cold it is going to be in Mattawa:cry: time for grip heaters.

This is what it looked like in McMinnville today...we rode:ride:
Okay, you figure the big one would don a helmet because he could hit his head on something. And if he wasn't wearing a helmet everyone would get angry and yell. So why, then, is it okay for the little one not to wear a helmet and no one yells?!

Well, no one got (very) hurt and the street is a dead-end, and school was canceled so the big one didn't have to play hooky with his girls...he got the day off. (Check out the number plate).

We even had some visitors stop by to get their picture taken with the sledders.

What a great dad! The big smiles tell it all. It's really nice to see that "PC" isn't alive everywhere. I remember pulling my sisters behind a Honda 250 scrambler as a kid, (country roads 50mph) and my boys behind a XR 350 in the early 80's.

Their faces looked just like that.

Thank you :):)
Still, it started bugging me later about Gary Busey ringing his own bell on the curb and the life change that made for him...these are my only kids...so I think next time I'm going to sell the "makes you look like an Olympic athlete" pitch to get the helmets on their melons.

We never left first gear, but they still whipped pretty fast on turns and used the curb as a berm several times (one time into a trash can - can you believe the sanitation guys worked right through the snow? - three things are sure: death, taxes, and trash pick up).

"Helmets will make you look like racers"...yeah...it'll work...hey! - then we could get into 3rd gear! Yeah:applause:

I'm thinking Monday and Saturday at Mattawa. Jay is wanting to ride Mattawa this Saturday unless the cold causes him to pansy out. :ride:

OK, we finally made up our minds. My buddy, my son and his buddy, and I are going to Mattawa tomorrow...probably be a 10:30 - 11:00 arrival so it has a chance to warm up into double digits!
