Boise people:

I'm ready to take P.I.G. out for its maiden voyage with the CR500 forks and have Monday off. My friend Ed (KLX300) should be there too. Any takers?

Meet at Rabbit at 11:00 or so?

I'm tearing the bike apart today for winter maintenance. I'll be back and running soon. Post us a picture of that bad boy when you get a chance.

Darn, can't make it either but wish I could be there to see the unveiling of the 'New' PIG.

Have you ever been to the sand hills of Fossil Creek with that bike? If you really wanted to test it for climbing power, that would be a good place. It's got reall tall steep hillsides like at Little Gem, only with deep fine sand that makes it even more difficult. When Tracy and I were out there yesterday we checked out that hill area after some easy trail riding on the west side of the highway. The sand and the hills were a little too much for my XR250 and skill level. That place would be perfect for a CR500.

Not sure yet if I'll be out. Depends on the weather. It's suppose to be a cold one. It will most likely be a last minute decission for me.

I hear ya on that one. I just got over a hacking-up-blood chest infection and am leary of getting re-sick.

According to weather.com it's going to be below freezing both Sunday and Monday.

P.I.G. hates the cold, in fact it would not kick start last time I was out. I had to roll start it to life...

The Army gave me some black silky arctic undies when the last summer I was in Iraq (don't ask). They're like polypropoline but way sexier and less bulky. Matter of fact, I don't even notice them under my way slick 1994 MSR Gore Tex gear and 1993 Shoei helmet.
