Anyone make it to Murphy yesterday. Great day to ride. Weather was around 40. Wind died down after noon. We saw several groups out there. Anyone in the 9 bike group. We came up on one of the guys that endoed in a tight area of one of the washes. Looked like a fun group of riders of all ages.

jat250wr and i parked at rabbit around 1130 or so and rode til almost 4. pretty magnificent dirt eh? we spent most of the time over on the other side of the paved road (goes to silver city? or sumtin) on teensy little singletracks. we hardly saw a soul, but by the time we got back to the parking lot there were alot of trucks there.

i rode friday and saturday too, by myself both days. it was a hoot. every time i ride out there i find another 20 miles of rustic little-used totally bitchen singletrack.

I may have to look at riding alone sometime, just so I can get out. Today would have been a nice day, it's 50* outside right now!

I can relate. Sometimes when you have the itch and can't get ahold of anyone. You just have to load up an go. I'm not a big fan of riding alone. But I'll stay close enough to the pickup, in case I have to walk back.
Were talking about going this coming sunday, if the weather report gets a little better. Right now it's suppose to be in the 20's. If that changes. I'll post up here. The guys I ride with are intermidiate level riders, that just like to have fun. Were not into the whose faster than who thing anymore. Were all in the 40+ range. And don't like getting hurt. Takes to long to heal.

Rockyroad and I rode at Fossil Creek today. It was pretty muddy in some places, but the weather was awesome. I agree, after you turn 40, going fast isn't as much fun as it use to be. Its better to slow down a little and live to ride another day.

:excuseme:

well i didn't even start riding until after i turned 40, but i have the same attitude i had when i was racing mtn bikes for the last 20 years or so, which is to go as fast as possible w/o taking unnecessary chances.

i might be up for riding this weekend, if it's warmer than 20, lol. i'm kinda body-fat challenged so i have a hard time staying warm.

Thanks, keep me posted.

No, I signed a 6 month lease for an apt here in Nampa. I may however move to the Kuna area sometime in July but am still undecided.

I went to Pickel Butte yesterday! Only 15 minutes from my house. It was great! I was there from 2-3:30. Found a great little track to practice on. I'm riding an 07 Yamaha 450 number 316.

What/where is Pickle Butte?

Gotta love those names.

I've heard it can get very crowded. It's more moto than trail.

My brother and I went out around 3. Not too bad of a day. The dirt was very nice!! We came across the same group of 9. Ran into a couple guys on DRZ's ?? One street legal the other?? Only did 25 miles and had to go. Good day overall.
