Mattawa (Saddle Mt) was absolutely perfect. The best riding conditions in months. The ground was moist, the sun was shining and it had to get close to 50+ degrees today. We had a blast. The 6" of snow up high was totally gone. We only ran into one hillside toward the end of the day that had significant snow left on it. All I can say is WOW.

Well guys I finished the video. It's not the best I've done but it's not all that bad. I am still learning how to use a video camera. I could tell when I was shooting as the sun started setting that portions of the pictures would be too dark. I did'nt even think to flip a switch on my camera called "NIGHTSHOTS PLUS". I tried it at home in a dark room and it actually works. Next time I will remember. Also I did not take much film footage but at least you will be able to see the riding conditions as of Saturday 1/6/2007. Click the link to view:

Thanks DJ. I don't know why but I had a special amount of fun on that ride. The soil was perfect. The riding partners were perfect. Everything just clicked for me.
I am still stoked even though I have done that area many times before and had fun then too. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that this is the first winter in a long time where the weather and lack of riding partners has prevented me from riding every week. So I was getting a needed fix for my riding withdrawals.

I finally got around to the video.....looks like great day of riding. I see the frozen waterfall is no longer a challenge.
