There is a poll running in the Port townsend newspaper about the new orv park. Please go here and vote for the ORV park. It only takes 2 clicks of the mouse and anyone can vote.

The poll is about half way down the page and on the left side.
Poll stops monday jan 8

I voted for! Here's what it said after I voted...

What should be the next step in considering an off-highway-vehicle trail system near Quilcene?

We need one, so let's address noise, environmental problems and get on with it

I'm not opposed to it, but I think it needs a lot more study

We should establish one, but current sites are inappropriate

It just isn't needed and the community has spoken. Stop all planning

It's obvious the community has NOT spoken since they have this poll going. The newspaper seems to be on the right side. Or does it? I would love to ride in that area. Don't these people understand that an ORV community puts more money into a local economy than the tree huggers? We like the restaurants and other amenities. We buy gas and oil, shop in their stores for things we forgot for the trip. And that’s always a give for us. The tree huggers don’t even use the area; just lock everyone out. And on top of that, they bring their own sandwiches.

You can ride the Quilicene area now, the powerlines near Tarboo Lake. But it would be nice to actually have an authorized area to ride.

Keep it going, VOTE!
