Here we go again. Time to cheer on our WR450 riders! The Dakar starts this weekend!

David Fretigne leads the Yamaha attack again for 2007! Nearly 60 highly modified Yamaha WR450's will try and finish this grueling 15 day endurance race!

Dakars my favorite all time race. About time blue steps it up and goes for the big one. Where do I sign up for the waiting list for this beast. Now if they would just start supporting the Baja 500 and 1000 more with pit support and logistics, we would tear the red team up!!!!! That things crazy looking. Honda, KTM beware theres a new sheriff in town.

Got to love having 4 fuel tanks (9 gallon total) and with an on board GPS and electonic diagnostics display dash board!

Well I know for a fact they are carrying 63 lbs in fuel when full.Holy crap thats alot.

Note that the KTMs are 660 engine sizes and the WRs usually do well in the lighter class. David Fretigne has one in the 450 class size in years past. Hard to beat the hp of the big KTM in the desert.?

The Dakar WR450s are just under 400. lbs with full fuel tanks. The KTMs 660's are 30 lbs heavier!

These guys have balls bigger than church bells. Rode Alfie Coxes KTM last year and dont know how they are able to do those speeds and distances. Must be on Gummi berry juice. Go Yamaha
