The Dakar Rally starts this Saturday from Lisbon, Portugal. Ellensburg's own Jonah Street is looking to improve upon his surprise 17th place finish last year and should be a major factor. Coverage will be on Versus network (formerly OLN). Some of you know Jonah and know how much of a class act he is. A big finish for him, Casey, Charlie, and the rest of the Rally PanAmerica team would be huge!!! Keep an eye on the race this year. It should be good!!! :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

He's off to a good start as we'd all expect!
The late rule change regarding speed limits is unfortunate for the smaller 525. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the next couple weeks!

Do you have to finish every stage to continue? I would guess that they have spare motors...... I mean they are KTM's after all, who would take a KTM to the rally without a spare motor or two..... :busted:
Sorry, I can't help but dig on my punkin' riding friends :prof:
I feel terrible that Jonah is out

Word from a family friend is Jonah had crank problems just after the 1st check on stage #4 and yes he was in FIRST PLACE when this occurred.
Jonah is a great guy it to bad it ended like this for him.

DAMN!!! That totally sucks! I bet this is going to eat at him all year! I feel bad for the guy. I'm sure he put in countless hours for preparation and not to mention the financial commitment.
