Pro Circuit - crummy Customer Service

Has anybody else had to deal with Pro Circuit? I used to be a fan of the PC pipes, especially the 2-strokes. But in dealing with them the last couple of years and the latest with a 496 muffler, I probably won't buy another PC product. The 496 performed ok with the exception the muffling capabilities were lost rather quickly. I went to re-pack the muffler and all the screws are frozen and being of poor quality they snapped off fairly easily. The muffler leaks at where the header pipe and muffler come together - apparently there isn't a clamp for that. It is supposed to fit tight. Right. Since the PC 496 is one of the more expensive units, I expected more.

FMF is getting another customer and PC can ES&D.

Hey, Cant help you on PC unless you want my speal about Politicaly Correct - Ha! But I am very curious about your FMF choice and how you like it. I am on a 06 WR450 and am considering the Q2 but havent done it yet fear and for money. Let me know? Thanks, Jason

From everything I have read and checked on the Pro Circuit 496 has better performance but has a tendency to fail sound checks. Unfortunately here in the People's Republic of Calfornia that is a real problem. The Q2 is an upgrade over stock, meets the dB limit, plus almost $100 cheaper than the PC496. A friend has one on his WR450 and it is noticeably quieter and he is happy with the performance. If you really want performance I would check into the Dr.D exhaust. People, my son included, have been getting good results and the price is reasonable. Dubach has a good reputation and I know from dealing with them on a mis-order (our mistake) they were VERY helpful and understanding. I am only looking at the Q2 because I found a very good deal and it is also one of the quietest.

That is helpful. I do still want to know how it is once installed. Any one else out there use the Dr. D or the Duback. I am concerned about the 96 decibel rule here in The Peoples Republik of Kalifornia too. Thanks, Jason

I installed a Dr. D on my 07, it's a little loud without the insert, I need to order one. I ran a Big Gun on my 99 and it had the QC insert and was quieter than than the stock pipe.

The DR.D fit perfectly, no struggle, and looks great as well.

I won't run the FMF because of poor customer service when I bought a pipe for my 2 stroke YZ. Never had to use PC customer service.
