Can someone tell me if the FMF Q4 will fit the new 2007 WR450F's standard header as i ordered a FMF factory 4.1 which was for a 06 YZ450F and it doesnt fit. The 2007 WR450F header is smaller this year it tapers in where the header bolts onto the motor. I hope the Q4 fits as i have already ordered it now.
Any feedback would be appreciated

Cheers

Check WR250F header pipe size. Maybe 250 gasket will fit.

You could try the GYTR gasket. I just got my 07 wr and the new GYTR did not fit. Took out the standard gasket and inserted into the new pipe. Worked like a charm. If all else fails make your own adaptor gasket. Good Luck.

I've heard that FMF and P.C. are having problems with the header joint when using the factory header. You might try taking the header and pipe to a muffler shop and having them expand the silencer pipe to fit.

I was hoping that they sorted it out for the Q4 rather than doing patch up jobs to get it to fit.
Has anybody on here bought one for the new WR?

I got the Ti Powercore for my 07' WR450 and FMF supplied two sleeves, one that fit really snug around the factory head pipe. They should do the same for you. You probably won't use the factory clamp either.
